AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional Exam

Among the so many AWS certifications, DevOps Engineer Professional is the professional level certification intended for those who have already passed AWS SysOps Administrator Associate and AWS Developer Associate. Although there is no prerequisite for any AWS certifications, following a level-wise learning path is still recommended.

AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional exam recognizes the technical skills and expertise of candidates to provision, operate, and manage distributed application systems on the AWS platform.

This exam validates the ability of the candidate in â€"

  • Implementing and automating governance processes, security controls, and compliance validation
  • Implementing and managing continuous delivery methodologies and systems on the AWS platform
  • Implementing highly available, reliable, scalable, robust, and secure systems on AWS
  • Designing, maintaining, and managing tools for the automation of operational processes
  • Defining and deploying metrics, monitoring, and logging systems on AWS platform

There is no prerequisite for the AWS DevOps Engineer Professional exam but the candidates should have some recommended AWS knowledge that will help them to pass the certification exam. Some of the recommended and required knowledge for the DevOps Engineer exam are  â€"

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in operating, provisioning and managing AWS environment
  • Experience in building automated infrastructures and administering operating systems
  • Capability of code development in at least one high-level programming language.
  • Understanding of the latest methodologies and processes for the development and operations

AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional Exam Information

The updated AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional exam follows the same pattern as that of any other AWS certification. Although the number of questions is not fixed in the exam, the candidate gets a duration of 170 minutes to complete the exam. Being a professional level exam, the registration fee for the AWS DevOps Engineer exam is $300
